Rev. C VIBIVS C F C N IOVIS AXVR, Jupiter Axurus (or Anxurus) seated left, holding patera in right hand, scepter in left.

Struck offcenter. Very fine.

The sanctuary of Jupiter Anxurus was in Terracina, where its solid subconstructions can still be seen. The town's ancient Volscian name was Anxur.
