A note from BCD: The mere thought that this book was printed during the first year of WWII makes the reader look at it under a very different light. The masterful enlargements of Berlin’s most stunning Greek coins that would become almost inaccessible for the next half century speak to the viewer in a way that transcends traditional numismatics in the sense that we know and understand it.
