Egypt. Ali Bey (1768-1772), in the name of the Ottoman Sultan Mustafa III (1757-1774). AV Zeri Mahbub (21 mm, 2.57 g), Misr (Cairo), AH 1183 = 1769.

Rare. Partially weak strike, otherwise, extremely fine.

Ali Bey, who was originally born in Georgia, was a Mamluk. He revolted against Mustafa III in 1768 but was betrayed and later executed in 1772.
