A note from BCD: A catalogue selling two very different collections.
The first one is composed entirely of various types of tokens, including a good
quantity of Masonic ones and some related medals. The Leprince collection on
the other hand is a general collection in the true sense of the word. There are
even two lots of ancient coins, one of ten Roman denarii and another of
twenty-three Greek and Roman bronzes. Sold together as one lot, these two
groups hammered at 13 francs. In the same auction an East India Company silver
octagonal token dated 1785 hammered at 16 francs. The ancient coins must have
been really poor…
