A note from BCD: A scarce and little known Vinchon catalogue with an impressive array of cylinder and other seals, ingeniously illustrated on nine plates by photographs of very clear impressions. Ancient jewellery of various provenances and periods is illustrated on a further plate. Several Greek coins and some Roman and (mostly) Byzantine gold follow. Finally, there is a good quantity of foreign and French coins, mostly in gold, with some gold medals also present.
