A note from BCD: Willy Schwabacher’s copy of a hugely underappreciated volume. Apart from Sir George Macdonald’s Presidential Address on what was then the last “Fifty years of Greek Numismatics”, the kind of article that can only produce a feeling of despair when one compares “then” with “now”; there are many more interesting and useful scholarly contributions on practically every branch of numismatics, including medals.
