eAuction #39, Lot 179. Estimate: CHF 5.00
Christie’s Geneva, 12 May 1984. Important
Russian Coins…from the Collection of Irina Baranova and various other
properties. 444 lots, 68 pages including 19 plates, plus one colour plate.
Prices realized list. Card covers, one bent corner. Very Good.
A note from BCD: An
auction of a collection formed by a Russian ballerina being sold in Geneva was
certainly an unusual occurrence in the mid-eighties. The colour plate at the
beginning features her best coins, and the catalogue concludes with modern
Greek that include some rare trial strikes.
Due to the differing shipping costs, depending on the weight and destination of the orders, individual invoices will be sent out on Monday, July 6.
Please note that overseas shipping can be expensive. For additional information, please contact us in advance.
