A note from BCD: Yet another hoard of Nikopolis Roman Provincials, found when during the spring of 1971 a “sealed crate” was opened at the Athens Numismatic Museum. Hoard “Noe 397” was thus “re-discovered” but its late concealment date precluded inclusion in the IGCH. The author mentions in the first footnote that a further one hundred or so coins, most probably from the same hoard, are kept in the Beirut museum.
