Islamic coins. Umayyad. al-Walid I (86-96 AH = 705-715 AD, Gold ⅓ Dinar (14 mm, 1.38 g), no mint, 92 AH.

Very rare. Hairline graffiti on both sides, otherwise good very fine.
From 91-103 AH, the Umayyads issued 1/2 and 1/3 Dinars to copy the Byzantine fractions of the Solidus: the Semissis and Tremissis. These 1/2 and 1/3 Dinars, called nisf and thulth, are all very rare today.
