A note from BCD: The main body of this catalogue is an important
private collection of gold coins ranging from choice Roman aurei and Byzantine
solidi to an extensive selection of Celtic gold and electrum. Mediaeval and
later French as well as European gold completes the picture. A final section of
the catalogue lists coins that are not part of the collection and these include
a few nice Greek and Roman.
