Septimius Severus (193-211 AD). AE 2 Assaria (23 mm, 9.58 g), Megara, Megaris. Obv. AVT ... HPOC CЄB, laureate head right. Rev. MЄΓAPЄWN, on right, Apollo standing left, holding kithara in left and, in his right, a phiale over an omphalos surmounted by two opposed eagles; to left, uncertain figure standing facing (Asklepios?). Very rare. Fine, holed. A fascinating reverse type.
