eAuction #39, Lot 72. Estimate: CHF 5.00

Clayton, John. The Discovery of a Hoard of Roman Coins on the Wall of Hadrian in Northumberland. Newcastle-upon-Tyne 1880. Reprint of an article in Achaeologa Aeliana. 8vo, pink boards soiled and linen tape split at spine, some foxing within; 23 pages, 3 plates. Fair.

A note from BCD: The lists of coins and their descriptions are quite accurate and the plates quite good with the exception of the first one that is a little darker than the other two.
