Leo II and Zeno. AV Solidus (20-21 mm, 4.48 g), Constantinopolis, 474 AD.
Obv. D N LEO ET ZENO P P AVG, pearl-diademed, helmeted, and cuirassed bust facing slightly right, holding spear over shoulder and shield decorated with horseman spearing a fallen enemy.
Rev. SALVS REI PVBLICAE, Leo and Zeno nimbate, enthroned facing, each holding mappa; star and cross above; CONOB in exergue.

Very rare. Almost invisible graffito in left obverse field, otherwise, extremely fine.
